§ 21-54. Penalties.

  • Any person violating any provision of Ordinance No. 393, as same may be amended or re-enacted, or any other traffic ordinance provided in the Code of Ordinances, and particularly any ordinance contained in Chapter 21 (sections 21-1 through 21-54), shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00), nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), or by imprisonment for not more than thirty (30) days, or both. A subsequent violation shall be punishable by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment for not more than sixty (60) days, or both. If the violator is other than an individual, imprisonment shall be dispensed with and a double fine may be imposed.
