§ 25-100. Purpose.

The purpose of this article is:
(1)

To adopt legislation to protect the public water supply system from contamination.

(2)

To adopt legislation to promote the elimination, contamination, isolation, or control of cross connection between the public water supply system and the nonpotable water systems, plumbing fixtures and industrial process systems or other systems which introduce or may introduce contaminants into the public water system or the consumer's water system.

(3)

To adopt legislation which requires maintenance of a continuing program of cross connection control which will prevent the contamination of the public water system.
